Thanks to a UBCO-Exeter partnership grant, Katie Brown (Exeter) visited UBCO in March 2024 to run a workshop on translating the General e grand estoria with students of Spanish.

She also gave a talk regarding the challenges of contemporary translation (literary and professional) and promoted the paid intership as part of the translation team.

She will also attend the American Comparative Literature Association that will take place in Montreal.
